District 1

District 1 encompasses towns including; Coffee Creek, Trinity Center, Covington Mill, Lewiston and part of Weaverville.

District 1 is one of the five supervisory districts in Trinity County, California, represented on the Trinity County Board of Supervisors. According to the official Trinity County government website, District 1 encompasses the communities of Coffee Creek, Trinity Center, Covington Mill, Lewiston, and part of Weaverville.

Trinity County’s Board of Supervisors is the county’s governing body, consisting of five elected supervisors, one for each district, who are responsible for setting policies, ordinances, and overseeing local services across the county.

  • Coffee Creek and Trinity Center are rural communities located along State Route 3 in the northern part of the county and the gateway to the Trinity Alps.

  • Covington Mill/Lake Forest/Long Canyon lies nearby along the same corridor at the foot of the eastern Alps, serving as one of the smaller communities within the district.

  • Lewiston is a historic community situated near the Trinity River, known for its scenic surroundings and outdoor recreation opportunities.

  • Weaverville, partly included in District 1, is the county seat of Trinity County and serves as a cultural and administrative hub for the region.
