Trinity County Search and Rescue

Established in 1978 by the Trinity Co. Sheriff's Office, our team has specialized training in Dive Ops, Swift Water Rescue, Incident Command Team, Ground Search Team, and Rope Rescue Ops. When called upon, we serve Trinity Co. and the State of California.

Trinity Co. Search and Rescue is staffed with people of various ages, backgrounds, and experience levels. We all share a common interest in serving our community and helping others. Most members are avid outdoors people — climbers, hikers, backpackers, cyclists, and runners. We maintain active membership at around 50 people. ALL volunteers!

Volunteer Fire Departments of District 1

Volunteering with a local rural fire department is vital because it directly protects your neighbors, families, and way of life. In rural areas where professional resources are limited and response times can be long, volunteer firefighters are often the first, and sometimes the only, line of defense during fires, medical emergencies, and disasters. Beyond emergency response, volunteering strengthens community resilience, builds local skills and leadership, and ensures that rural communities can continue to rely on one another when it matters most. Please volunteer at your local VFD.
